I met my husband because I was wearing a tie. I work at a counter for a rental car company at an airport and I wear a blaser and a tie to work. One day, a customer came to my counter to inquire about a rental car. We chatted for a bit and he mentioned to me that my tie was crooked and my collar was sticking up on one side. I was a bit embarrassed as I was in a hurry that morning and I didn't straighten my tie and left my collar twisted up. He was kind enough to straighten my tie and fix my collar. Well, we hit it off and we eventually began dating and later got married. Yes, I still work for the rental car company and I still wear a blaser and tie to work. Sometimes my husband straightens my tie or fixes my collar before I head off to work.
I really don't mind a woman wearing a tie. In fact, my girlfriend wears a blaser and a tie every now and then. I even like it when her tie is crooked for her collar is sticking up.
